The "ELC" series is designed for double-sided fine grinding technology. ELC is the abbreviation of "Electronic-Logical Control". This system is Melchiorre's exclusive technology, which can quickly and continuously adjust the working pressure of the process, so that the load has perfect repeatability.
The Melchiorre "ELC" machine adopts a very strong steel structure, and the traditional "C-shaped" configuration allows the vertical movement of the upper plate to have a very high working stability.
The rotation of the upper plate can be automatically adjusted to optimize the surface of the contact wheel part being processed.
The machine also offers a patented system of measurement control IN PROCESS that can inspect parts during the cycle and automatically command a stop (device resolution: 0.1 micron). This technology ensures that the workpiece can be completed without further measurement. The required conditions are as follows:
- Thickness variation: ±1 micron
- Flatness: <0.5 micron
- Parallelism: <1 micron
- Surface roughness up to 0.01 micron
